As a complement to the Lammas 'harvest' at the beginning of this month, the new moon near one's birthday is an auspicious time for 'planting' new intentions for the coming year. I've been trying to come up with a list of intentions that make sense for this strange new chapter of my life.
I want to embrace each day. I want my days to be filled with activities worth spending time and energy on. I want to cook and bake, and to serve enjoyable meals to my family, and to cherish the time we spend together. I want to embroider and make quilts. I want my creative work to have more complexity and nuance. I want to make mindful choices. I want to be balanced and serene. I want to enjoy quietness of heart and poise of spirit.

My desire is to do the same. Embrace each day, do things worth spending time on, serving my family (good meals), and especially enjoy quietness of heart. Two things I'll add for me is having more of a Godly attitude toward everyone and painting. I really enjoy thought provoking posts like this one.
I've never heard of this aspect of the new moon but I like it. Your list obviously took a lot of thought. You should print it and frame it in a conspicuous place where you will be reminded of it.
