A good find

In addition the opening of our Farmers Market this week, another sign that winter is over would be the garage sales beginning to pop up around the valley. We hit a few of them this morning, and found several little odds and ends, and a nice chair for the breakfast table in the sunroom, and this bargain:

It's a hand-made and -tied, all wool throw ... about 75" square and in decent condition for:

$4.00

Yep, you read that right. It needs a few minor repairs and a gentle washing, and it will be all ready for Elvis to use for his naps on the couch next January. (It's not nearly as lurid as this pic looks -- the flash brightened the colors a lot.)

We were especially amused today to run across several of the things we sold last autumn in our garage sale -- a light fixture, some framed posters, etc. -- at more than one location, so apparently we've made our contribution to the garage sale gene pool here in Bear Valley :)

Elvis will love his new blankie. How funny to see your own garage sale items and to see them as joining the "pool" -- like fruitcake lol.

Elvis will be happy, but I'm sure he's wondering why he has to wait? Love that about the garage sale finds - what a laugh!
