Banana Hazelnut Pancakes


BANANA HAZELNUT PANCAKES

4 tablespoons melted butter
4 tablespoons brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup hazelnut flour (or finely ground hazelnuts)
1 cup all-purpose flour
Pinch of salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 cup milk
2 bananas
Additional chopped hazelnuts to garnish, if desired.

Whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, egg and vanilla.
Add dry ingredients, alternating with milk, and combine thoroughly.
Add additional milk by tablespoons if necessary to achieve desired batter consistency.
Pour batter by 1/4 cups onto hot greased griddle.
Top with banana slices and sprinkle with additional chopped hazelnuts.
Cook until bubbles form on top.
Flip and finish cooking until golden brown.

About 8 pancakes

  1. I'm one of those rare people that doesn't care for pancakes .... although I do like French toast (minus the syrup!). I might be tempted to taste test these tho' simply because of the ground hazelnuts.
