On the Fourth Day of Christmas ...

Today's topic is JOY, which is going to be a stretch : this past year has not been very joyful at all.  So many negative vibes to put behind us!

I do find joy in my heart when I watch the sky.
Every day the sun comes up, and I begin again.

I laugh at myself a lot these days.
My quirks and foibles and missteps seem to have become more and more frequent.

I have several ideas queued up for new activities and projects for the coming year.  I expect that I will enjoy exploring new things: quiltmaking techniques, recipes, parks, stores and restaurants ...

Meanwhile, it is heartwarming to watch the joy and exuberance and innocence with which the little ones embrace all the moments of their days!

  1. Joy is a commodity that has been scarce on the ground this past year for sure...Joy in the little things is wonderful to experience...opening up to it is amazing...hugs, Julierose

  2. This year it's certainly been more of a challenge to search for joy but when you find it, it's all the more precious. My joy comes from seeing pictures and videos of my grandkids and their families. Nothing can compare with that!
