A Solstice Eve party!
This was presented to the little boys as a special dinner and party
celebrating quiet/dark/night.
It was indeed special, but not very quiet :)

Everyone agreed that it looked exactly like our own living room gathering:
fireplace, tree, wreath, family, even the rug !
Meal prep -- everyone helps! Pork tenderloin on the menu.
Mulled wine/cider
And BLUE GLOW STUFF!!!
(If you are a preschooler, you might just explode with excitement!)
Beautiful Yule Log cake by Dave
He truly is our Master Chef!
(Actually both Dave and Jess have occupations
in the hospitality industry)
Fireside -- Lorenzo was entranced and mesmerized!
Lucci and Grandpa opening today's door for Jake's Doggie Advent Calendar treat
(And Jake has BLUE GLOW stuff also!!)
Grandma is happy!
***************
What a lovely party. You set a pretty table, everything looks wonderful. I miss the days when my Grands were little and I was able to see them all the time. Now that they are older and have a larger circle of exposure, they are staying away from me for my protection, but some days it seems too high a price to stay healthy. Hoping families everywhere are able to be back together soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous idea! You have a beautiful family
ReplyDeleteLooks like you all had such a wonderful time. Seeing it all through the eyes of children just makes it all the more special. Hopefully we'll all get to do this next year.
