Vanquishing scraps

Earlier this month, while I was rummaging through storage looking for green scraps for Rainbow Scrap Challenge, a small bag of odds and ends came to light.  I believe it was the leftovers from my first Gypsy Wife quilt, which I worked on in 2017.  The bright colors in the bag caught my eye, so I left it out on the work table for further consideration.
The bag has been eliminated!  A couple of quick sewing sessions turned it into a happy scrappy little crumb block mat.  It finished up at 22" x 30".  The colors and bits remind me of Easter egg shells.  I'll probably use the mat on the front bench in the entryway for spring.
