Christmas in July

Last month I worked on a list of "On My Radar" projects, and  today I started cutting for one of them.

Negotiations are under way for some of our out-of-state family to come out here and spend Christmas in the mountains this year.  I'm not entirely sure that this will actually happen -- it involves inlaws and an extended family circle and lots of schedule coordinating.
But I can hope ...

So it would be nice to give each of the visiting families a Christmas quilt as a gift -- to use while they're here, and to take home as a remembrance.  I've decided to *think positive* about the possibility of holiday guests and get started with one of the gift quilts.

Here's the first one, varied-size stars on a red background.  I've chosen contemporary style prints and I think it will be fun.

Hopefully by the time I get this one done, some decision will have been reached by our possible holiday visitors, and I can work on to the next ones!

What a sweet idea. Great start too, I love that luscious red background on your stars!
