Done-done

Taking a final look at this one,
with the quilting and binding now finished.
I'm invoking Barbara Brackman's Poetic License here ~
our shop will be running an
Underground Railroad/If Quilts Could Talk
Civil War repro sew-along series
beginning in a few weeks,
and I made this as an example of a talking quilt.
I understand that the whole idea is folklore rather than historic fact, and that it is unlikely/unproven that talking quilts were used to
communicate to runaway slaves.

So with that being said, this quilt illustrates a pretend hidden message which might say:
'MEET AT THE CROSSROADS AT MIDNIGHT'
Red border strips mean "important message", crossroads blocks are eponymous, and dark navy centers say "midnight"
