A fresh start

I'm going to go out on a limb here and do some goal-setting for June.  It's been such a long time since I've had any control over my schedule and energy.  But now that some of my responsibilities have ended and others have shifted, I'm going to make an effort to get my life back onto a more positive path.

My intentions for June include:
1.  Resolve the overwhelming mess in the garage.  In the past few weeks we've completely emptied and closed Mother's home, and have also cleared about half of Dad's stuff out of his place.  Our garage is bursting at the seams with their belongings, and I need to get it all moved along, so I can accordingly move myself further along toward closure.
2. Allocate a half hour a day to personal quiet time.  Not reading, not sewing, not list-making or planning -- just sitting and reflecting.  My soul needs soothing.
3.  Start one or maybe two new creative endeavors.  Keeping up with my ongoing BOMs and finishing up a UFO or two wouldn't hurt either, but I think something new would be good motivation.
4.  Shop for a new purse and summer khaki pants.  Both are waaaaay past needing replacement!

And if I actually accomplish all these without being interrupted by yet another family crisis, I'll think of more interesting things to do!

best wishes on the clearing. If you have siblings give them a deadline for taking what they want. allow yourself one year to decide what to pitch from what is left.

((hugs))
There are so many of us in this situation. The other side of the coin in our parents living so much longer.
