RSC14 - Blue/January

 
I'm off to a good start with RSC14
 
Here was my starting point,  
the contents of my blue scrap bag: 
 
I made sixteen subunits for my

And I finished up with a few scrappy filler blocks for a 1930s Repros block collection I'm hoping to develop.  I'll be making more blue 30s blocks as the month continues, with the intention of ending up with enough to make a comfort quilt:

Your fabrics look so much better as blocks than all jumbled in that bin. What a nice start on blue.

Love your roads and stars. Love the 30s fabrics, too. Any pattern made with them turns out looking so sweet, almost innocent.

Love your blue scrap bag -- that's what mine looks like! I love it when I get to see a pile of scraps like that before and after. Your blocks are simple yet very pretty! Can't wait to see more. Great start!
