I've always wanted to to make a classic string spider web quilt like this, but never got around to it. Yesterday I had a bag of 30s scraps out, and I decided to use
to try just one block. Well, one block led to three, and a summer whimsy project has been born!
The blocks are easy and fun, and I probably have enough strings in the one bag I opened for twenty or twenty-four blocks all together. Or -- more likely -- I'll get bored somewhere around block #10, and put the whole thing away for a couple of years.
