April

This is one of my favorite April quilts.  I made it using Blackbird Design's "Tulip Farm" pattern about five years ago.

Well, I wasn't comfortable with my quilting accomplishments for March -- let's see if I can manage April a little better.

This month's Monochromatic Challenge color is orange, which will work nicely into a Halloween runner.  The UFO Challenge assignment is #4, which gives me a red-white-and-blue block set to work on.  And I want to finish either the 30s Rings UFO or the red string blocks UFO ... or both. (It's bugging me that I created two new UFOs last  month!)

My ongoing block projects will continue to be Brackman's Civil War Quilt, my Album Quilts of Ohio's Miami Valley group, and the basket BOM my guild is doing.  I'm keeping up with all of these so far.

So that's a runner and two or three quilts, and three block series.  And if I get everything on this list completed, there are always more possibilities to keep me busy.  I have all the blocks pieced for a big Buckeye Beauty quilt -- maybe I'll be in the mood to start assembling that top.  And pretty soon I'm going to start thinking about a commission quilt I need to work on.  This should be plenty for April!!

How Pretty - I just love patchwork and applique mixed quilts. Your lemon yellows and lime greens look very Springy ;) and of course the reds in there make it pop.

Thanks for sharing your April quilt! :)

Love from Texas! ~bonnie

Jeanne- How Gorgeous! Love your tulip time quilt. Which BBD book was it in? This one, is one I may have to try to make parts of for a wall hanging for this time of year. I truly love it!

Love your March finish too. the colors are so representative of that time of year for you, up here in Northern NY that's more April and May looking. For March a white on white would be appropriate! LOL
