Wednesday

Dave and Jessica were up for a few days of snowboarding.  We had a nice visit, as always, (love my kiddos!!) and enjoyed spending quality time with Chulie, the new grandpuppy.  She's darling -- tiny and feisty, not intimidated at all by the horde of bigger dogs.  Four dogs underfoot is A LOT of dogs!

Hmmm, so I'm off on a tangent already, and it's only January 5.  Barbara Brackman has opened a new blog called Civil War Quilts.  It's going to feature weekly articles about people and quilts of that era, and she's going to include a free block pattern each week, too.  It seems like an interesting way to use the box of repro fabrics I got last February for no reason, Colonial Christmas by Marcus Brothers.  This first block is called 'Catch Me If You Can.'  Who knows, maybe I'll have a new holiday quilt by December ...

I love your background fabric! I joined in too ;-) I can't imagine having four dogs under your feet LOL.

I like your Catch Me block. What a fun project. I couldn't say no either.

Thanks for the link! I am not a quilter (though I have a passion for quilts) but I am a history nut and the Civil War was one of my obsessions not so long ago... I will enjoy this blog.

I'm following that new blog too. Though I am not making the blocks. Meanwhile on my list for 2011 is to finish 1 of my CW repro quilts.

Let me know if you need repro, I would be happy to donate to the cause!
