Big time small town news:

This event happened near the pond where we took our winter walk in January, about 1 1/2 miles up the road from here. It's so amazing to live in the forest!

Not much else to report. I've just finished quilting the black and purple wizardy donation quilt, and will get the binding stitched down this weekend. Picture next week ...

OMGosh! Is this a lucky incident or a scarey incident. Around here, there was one poor cat peeking in the windows of the local high school, a highly populated area, traffic, mall, highway, etc. Poor critter was shot - he was probably hungry - what a state of affairs. A sign of our times, unfortunately.

My house in LaVerne was in a mountain lion habitat area. Kept a close eye on the dog! Only saw one, though. BIG cat!

At least they got it!

We had one bound thru our campsite in Northern CA a few years ago...left us speechless!
