Sewing machine time

I finished piecing the big stars top over the weekend, and got it layered and pinned today. I'm going to call this one Shoofly Pie.

I also did the first hour of Judy's Quilt-for-an-Hour project this morning. I'd intended to use Halloween novelties, but at the last minute decided on these more muted Octoberish fabrics.

I'm really partial to the star quilt but both are so yummy! I wish I had time to do Judy's hour a day but just can't. I'll have to live vicariously through all the lovely pics like yours that people post :)
