Aawwwwww!

Meet Sookie, our new grandpuppy! Nick and Stacey -- for some unimaginable reason, since they live in a condo in downtown Boston and both of them work many hours a day -- decided to get a puppy. She's an Old English Bulldog, and will grow up to be a strong husky docile lady someday. Meanwhile, they're just beginning to understand how much work a baby puppy is! Good practice for parenthood, I say :)

I'm still puttering with the assortment of autumny bits and pieces. Some of these were already blocks from long ago, a couple were from my Block-a-Day project earlier this year, and the rest are being created from that pile of subunits and scraps. The background fabric is a real oldie -- this stuff has been in a bundle for a loooong time. It's an interesting challenge to make the subunits turn into something coherent.

So this means the raspberry blocks have officially been shuffled aside ... and another UFO is born.

OOH, cute puppy. Luckily you will not be asked to dog sit, LOL! Is a mountain UFO different from a flatland UFO? Somehow it sounds more romantic :)

Oh, I do love the face! I'm very fond of Pugs, Boxers, and Bulldogs. Doesn't Martha Stewart have French Bulldogs? They'll cope just fine. When Tom and I lived in a Boston apartment, we had five cats!

Since I work from home, I would be the perfect doggie sitter, if only I lived closer! No dogs for me because they have to go through quarantine when we go back and forth to Europe, but I wouldn't mind day time doggie sitting. My aunt and uncle take my cousins full sized poodle (Winston) during the week while she works and she gets him on the weekends - they both love this arrangement and Winston is a happy dog! The local yarn store has a bulldog puppy and she is just so cute - but she loves to pull the yarn off the shelf and roll all around with it while bitting it, so I don't think she will be coming to the yarn store much longer unless she changes her ways! Anyway, being in a city and all - maybe they can at least find a dog walker in the area!
